The privilege of this work is time: working closely one-to-one, understanding the individual, and building an approach around their life, priorities and circumstances.

About

A practice built around the individuality of a life.

The experience is intentionally personal, selective and unhurried.

GoodImmunity is a premium one-to-one coaching practice for people who want more depth, continuity and personal attention than conventional wellness programs offer.

Three interconnected elements — Lifestyle · Wellness · Movement — shape each engagement. Evidence informs the work, but so do context, experience and careful listening.

Founder Barbara Rath is a physician-scientist and pediatrician with training in lifestyle coaching through Harvard and movement therapeutics through Stanford YogaX. Her role here is as a coach — GoodImmunity is not a medical practice and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.

A lifelong dancer, she brings a personal connection to movement that extends beyond exercise. Clients work directly with the founder, with the time and attention to develop an approach that is genuinely their own.

Lifestyle

The way a life is actually built.

Work, rest, travel, relationships, responsibility, appetite, attention. We begin with the shape of your days as they are, not as a program imagines them, and look for the few changes that would genuinely hold.

Wellness

Evidence, applied to one person.

Nutrition, sleep, recovery, stress, prevention — considered with rigor and without dogma. The aim is not constant optimization but a foundation that is sound, sustainable and unmistakably your own.

Movement

Adapted to the body, not the reverse.

Sometimes yoga-informed, sometimes drawing on yoga therapeutics, sometimes simply strength and breath. Shapes rather than set poses, chosen for a particular body, its history and this point in time.

Children & Families

Strength from within is learned early.

Children & Families brings the GoodImmunity approach to children and young people, always with a parent or guardian actively involved. The work is individualized and largely movement-based — playful, adaptive and built around the child and the family as they are, not around a program. Lifestyle · Wellness · Movement apply here too, translated for a younger person and a family context.

GoodImmunity was founded by a pediatrician. This is coaching and movement work, not medical care: no diagnosis, no treatment, and no substitute for a child's own doctor.

As with all GoodImmunity work, it begins with a conversation with the parent or guardian.

Questions

What this work is, and what it is not.

Coaching is a partnership. You bring the knowledge of your own life; the coach brings time, attention, thoughtful questions and perspective. Together, we explore what matters to you, where you want to go and what might help you get there — in a way that is realistic, meaningful and your own.

It is highly individualized, whole-person work. We look at you in context — your lifestyle, environment, relationships, responsibilities, movement, patterns, priorities and what matters to you. Rather than applying a predetermined program, GoodImmunity coaching creates the time and space to understand where you are and what may help. You remain the expert on your own life; the coach brings careful listening, thoughtful questions, evidence-informed perspective and continuity.

There is no standard GoodImmunity formula. Lifestyle · Wellness · Movement are considered together and weighted differently for each person. The work is collaborative and evolves with you, drawing on evidence, health-coaching methods, movement and yoga therapeutics where useful. The aim is not constant optimization, but meaningful and sustainable change that fits the life you actually live.

Not necessarily a class. Movement is one of the Elements of GoodImmunity and is integrated where it serves you — sometimes yoga-informed, sometimes drawing on yoga therapeutics, and always adapted to the individual rather than the other way around.

Yoga adapted to the person rather than the person to the practice. It draws on yoga therapeutics: shapes rather than set poses, breath, attention and pacing, chosen for an individual body, its history and where that person is at this point in time. That might mean a strong, demanding practice in one season and something quiet and supported in another. Breathwork is central, and often where we begin. Nothing is prescribed by default — not intensity, not stillness — only what serves you now. It is offered as coaching in movement, designed to sit alongside and integrate with the care and routines you already have.

No. GoodImmunity is coaching. It does not provide diagnosis or treatment and does not create a physician–patient relationship. Your own medical care remains with your physician; GoodImmunity can sit alongside it, with a different purpose.

Because the perspective matters. Years spent studying prevention and working within healthcare inform the rigor, discernment and understanding of health behind GoodImmunity. But the role here is that of a coach: creating the time, continuity and individualized attention for work that has a different purpose from a medical appointment.

People who value their time, think for themselves and want individual attention rather than a program. GoodImmunity is for people interested in engaging actively and thoughtfully with how they live, feel and move; it is not a substitute for medical care.

With a conversation. If it feels like the right fit on both sides, we work together in individually tailored blocks of sessions, primarily online.

Yes. Children & Families offers individualized coaching and movement-based work across childhood and adolescence. With babies and very young children, the work naturally centers on the parent-child relationship and family context. With school-age children and teenagers, a parent or guardian remains involved, while the degree of participation is adapted to the young person’s age, needs and preferences. The same Lifestyle · Wellness · Movement approach applies, adapted to age, development and the individual family.

No. GoodImmunity provides private coaching services and does not bill insurers.
